Job Description
Position Summary –
With minimal supervision, timely, accurately and efficiently supervises workers' compensation claim file development by the assigned branch offices, provide direction, comments and suggestions on individual claim files to the respective claims managers, supervisors and/or branch claims personnel. Provides input, guidance and advice on workers' compensation claim litigation management issues and the appropriate utilization of managed care and cost containment services. Participate in conference calls with outside counsel to help develop a claim specific plan of action. Review claim files and claim procedures to help facilitate the best claim outcomes, and participates in special assignments. Maintains good customer relations; maintains good working relations with co-workers and other company personnel; advises management on matters relating to her or his job responsibilities. Substantial independent action and judgment are required in supervising many workers' compensation claim files in a wide variety of jurisdictions.

The qualified candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in the following areas:
 Workers' Compensation – Claims handling/supervision
 Claims Investigation – Statements, authorizations, retention of qualified counsel and experts
 Managed Care and Cost Containment – Experience with the appropriate utilization of these services
 FROIs & SROIs – Knowledge of state specific requirements for indemnity EDI reporting
 Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements and CMS Compliance – Proper compliance with Medicare secondary payer statutes and Section III reporting
 Claims Administration – Workers' Compensation knowledge of laws, requirements and procedures for multiple states
