Job Description
Position Summary:
With minimal supervision, timely, accurately and efficiently provides technical support for field risk control operations, reviews and analyzes reports, interprets specialized technical information for the benefit of Home Office underwriters, defines technical needs and ensures training materials are available for risk control consultants and customers, facilitates and participates in special assignments; maintains good working relations with co-workers and other company personnel, timely and accurately advises management on matters relating to her or his job responsibilities. Substantial independent action and judgment are required in recognizing and evaluating complex risk control issues and situations and in making appropriate conclusions and recommendations.

Qualified candidates will have one or more of these designations/certifications:
ARM, CPCU, CSP, ALCM

10+ years of experience in the following areas:
 Fundamental working knowledge of OSHA; MSHA; ANSI and NFPA;
 Must be able to conduct independent research and utilize technical writing skills to clearly, accurately, and effectively communicate to internal and external customers and vendors;
 Assists underwriters, risk control consultants and field supervisors in interpreting unusual exposures, hazards and controls by providing specialized technical information evaluation of activities and defining risk control needs;
 Works collaboratively with risk control consultants and field supervisors in developing goals, objectives and training activities for improvement of job performance;
 Evaluate risk control consultant reports to provide prompt, efficient and effective risk control services to our customers;
 Occasionally lift and carry equipment/materials up to 30 lbs.; some work may be outdoors in varying climate conditions;
 Overnight travel is required
